Olympic weightlifting is comprised of two lifts; the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk. In the snatch, the barbell is lifted from the ground to overhead in one smooth movement. In the Clean & Jerk, the barbell is lifted from the floor to the shoulder and then overhead in a locked out position. These lifts test for explosive and functional strength, while taking the whole body through it maximum range of motion. The Olympic lifts are technical, dynamic and fast

Olympic weightlifting at CrossFit Vernon is a very popular class. The Olympic Weightlifting classes are held:

Tuesday – 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m

Saturday – 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

These classes are open to CrossFit Vernon members.
